Connecticut's two federally recognized tribes saw another decline in slot machine revenues for the month of August 2014 but the picture wasn't as bad as usual.

The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation took in $47 million at the Foxwoods Resort Casino. That's down 3.3 percent from August 2013.

The Mohegan Tribe, meanwhile, reported $56.2 million in slot revenues at the Mohegan Sun. That's down just 0.3 percent from August 2013.

Both tribes had seen double-digit declines in three of the previous five months, The New London Day reported, so the August 2014 results seem to indicate some recovery.
