The government of Fiji has canceled the license for a troubled casino development that ensnared the Snoqualmie Tribe of Washington.

The tribe invested $1.5 million in the One Hundred Sands casino. The developer never got the project off the ground after amassing $1.1 million in fines.

The tribe is now suing the developer in Washington state court. Chairwoman Carolyn Lubenau has indicated it may be difficult to recoup its losses.
