Tomorrow marks the third month anniversary of the closure of the casino owned by the Picayune Rancheria of the Chukchansi Indians in California.

Rival factions clashed at the Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino on October 9, leading to its immediate closure. Two tribal leaders remain jailed and there appears to be no end to the mess that has put more than 1,000 people out of work.

"They're rogue. They were never appointed and they were never voted in," Donna Featherstone, the acting chair of one faction, told KSFN, referring to the leaders of yet another faction.

The factions were participating in mediation under the supervision of a federal judge. But one group walked away -- the group that happens to be in control of the casino's finances.
