Mississippi Choctaws to reopen casino after $70M renovation

The Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians will reopen one of its gaming facilities on Saturday.

The tribe cut back operations at the Golden Moon Hotel and Casino during the economic downturn. A debt restructuring enabled the make $70 million in upgrades to the gaming floor and to hotel.

The new gaming floor features 1,150 slot machines, 25 table games, 14 poker tables, a video wall and a bar, The Neshoba Democrat reported.
