The Pala Band of Mission Indians in California has started construction on a $5 million casino expansion project.

The tribe will be adding Luis Rey’s, a permanent outdoor stage, at the Pala Casino Resort and Spa. The tribe will also be adding CAVE, a 6,000-square-foot, full-service eatery and entertainment complex, to the property and will be renovating several existing restaurants, according to a press release.

The project will be finished in time for the busy Memorial Day weekend.
