The Oneida Nation of New York is getting ready to announce the opening date of its new $20 million gaming facility.

The Yellow Brick Road Casino is under construction in Chittenango, the birthplace of author L. Frank Baum. The 67,000 square-foot facility will built around a Wonderful Wizard of Oz theme, with restaurants, bars and amenities that take their inspiration from the iconic novel.

"Guests can “follow the yellow brick road” to great food and drinks at the casino’s Oz-themed restaurants and bars," the tribe said in a press release.

The casino website states the facility will open in the "spring" although a press release that was issued last week said it would open "later this year." The tribe later edited the statement to read "June."

The exact opening date is going to be announced before the end of this month.
