Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation still probing incident at casino

The Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation in Kansas continues to investigate an incident in which a woman was found unresponsive at the tribe's casino, Chairwoman Liana Onnen said.

The tribe hasn't released many details about the April 22 incident. But the local media confirmed that 26-year-old Samantha Rae French was declared dead after being found at the Prairie Band Casino and Resort.

"Really all I can tell you, I can't tell you much because it is still an ongoing investigation. I know that our Police Department is partnering with Jackson County District Attorney and it is still an ongoing investigation," Onnen told WIBW. "As far as I've been made aware, no charge is been filed so that's really all I can tell you at this point."

French was a mother of three, according to a GoFundMe page that was set up to raise money for her burial and for her surviving children. She had been pregnant at the time. of her death.
