The Yakama Nation of Washington has removed the three members of its casino board, The Yakima Herald-Republic reports.

The tribal council accused Shay-Anne Spencer, Portia Shields and Leanne Umtuch of mismanaging a $90 million expansion at the Yakama Legends Casino. The casino's management team continues to oversee the facility in their absence, Chairman JoDe Goudy told the paper.

The tribe broke ground on the project last fall. It includes a 200-room hotel, a spa, more dining space and additional gaming space.

The hotel is expected to open later this year, the paper said. The entire project will be complete by the summer of 2016.
