Seminole Tribe launches Native music series at Florida casino

The Seminole Tribe of Florida is hosting the first Native Rock Celebration tonight.

The event takes place at the Hard Rock Resort and Casino in Hollywood. The inaugural show features the Osceola Brothers, Ted Nelson and the Tee Pee Creepers and Lee Tiger & The Tiger-Tiger Band.

“We want to have Seminole and Native American bands represented around the nation and the world,” Ted Nelson, one of the founders of the event, told New Times Broward-Palm Beach . “Music keeps us going as a people.”

Future shows will be held at the casino.
