The White Earth Nation of Minnesota expects to break ground on a second gaming facility next month.

The tribe hasn't disclosed the cost or size of the new Shooting Star Casino. But it's due to open in the spring of 2016 near Ebro, close to the northeastern border of the reservation.

"We want to have the foundation and footings in by around Nov. 15 to beat the frost, and that way we can continue to build through the winter," casino general manager Bill Marsh told Finance & Commerce.

The Cuningham Group designed the new casino, Finance & Commerce reported. The firm has helped other tribes with renovations and expansions of their facilities.
