Lynn Valbuena, the chairwoman of the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians in California, is joining the American Gaming Association's Gaming Hall of Fame.

Valbuena, who also serves as chair of the Tribal Alliance of Sovereign Indian Nations, will be inducted during the Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada, later this month. She is among three honorees this year.

"Lynn has been a staunch advocate for tribal rights," CEO Geoff Freeman said in a press release.

Last year, Ernie Stevens Jr., the chairman of the National Indian Gaming Association, joined the Gaming Hall of Fame.
