Tuolumne Band closed casino to investigate false bomb threat

The Tuolumne Band of Me-Wuk Indians in California evacuated its casino on Monday after a report of a bomb threat.

The Black Oak Casino Resort was shut down for about two hours while authorities investigated. The report turned out to be a false alarm.

“We evacuated the property,” Al O’Brien, the casino's director of marketing and entertainment, told The Union Democrat. “We have swept the entire casino.”

In related news, general manager Ron Patel is being promoted to CEO of the facility, My Mother Lode reported. He's worked there since the casino opened 15 years ago.

Director of operations Aaron Moss will be promoted to manager, My Mother Lode reported. He's also been at the casino from the start.
