The Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians is holding a grand opening for the new bingo room at its casino.

Pearl River Bingo is located at the Pearl River Resort and the tribe said it's the only casino in the state where the game is available. Patrons can play against each other and link up with games at other tribal facilities.

The bingo hall is part of a $70 million renovation of the facility. Earlier this year, the tribe reopened the Golden Moon Hotel and Casino, where operations had been scaled back during the economic downturn.

The renovation included a new gaming floor with 1,150 slot machines, 25 table games, 14 poker tables, a video wall and a bar. The tribe also opened a new restaurant and upgraded all 1,100 hotel rooms at the resort.
