The new leader of the casino owned by the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of Potawatomi Indians is bringing a personal touch to the job.

Brian Decorah, the president and CEO of the FireKeepers Casino in Battle Creek, Michigan, is trying to get to know as many of the 1,700 employees as possible. He doesn't know all of their names by heart but he makes sure to welcome every new hire and attend every employee orientation session.

"It’s hard to know everybody, but I do take the time to try and understand what each person is about, where they come from," Decorah, a member of the Ho-Chunk Nation, told The Battle Creek Enquirer.

Decorah joined FireKeepers in 2013. He has 20 years of experience in the Indian gaming industry, having worked for his tribe and other tribes.
