The White Earth Nation of Minnesota opened the doors to its second gaming facility on Wednesday. The new Shooting Star Casino is located near Bagley, on the northeastern side of the reservation. The 21,400 square-foot facility features 170 slot machines and an eatery called Little Dipper Bar & Grill. "We believe that there will be a substantial impact on Bagley and the surrounding areas, creating both new employment and bringing new dollars," general manager Bill Marsh told The Bemidji Pioneer. The original Shooting Star is located in Mahnomen, near the western edge of the reservation. The casino is celebrating its 25th anniversary later this year. The tribe is planning to build a third casino in Star Lake. The site is located on trust land but is outside the main boundaries of the reservation. Read More on the Story:
