San Carlos Apache Tribe aims to open new casino in December

The San Carlos Apache Tribe of Arizona is on track to open a second gaming facility.

The Apache Sky Casino could debut as soon as mid-December, The Copper Area News reported. The facility is located near the southwestern edge of the reservation.

The casino will be located in a temporary structure with a bar and a food court, the paper reported. The ceremonial groundbreaking took place in February.

The tribe already operates the Apache Gold Casino Resort.
