Shoshone-Bannock Tribes start work on $35M casino expansion

Sho-Ban News on Facebook: Casino Groundbreaking The Shoshone-Bannock Tribes of Idaho broke ground on a $35 million casino expansion project on Monday.

The 72,984 square-feet expansion is expected to open in March 2018, KIFI-TV reported. The structure will connect the Fort Hall Casino to the adjacent Shoshone-Bannock Hotel and Event Center.

"The casino will have more machines and more room," Vice Chairman Darrell Shay said at the ceremony, The Blackfoot Morning News reported.

The Sho-Ban News, the tribe's newspaper, has posted photos from the event.
