Mashantucket Tribe reaches contract with labor union at casino


The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation owns and operates the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut. Photo from Facebook The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation reached a deal with a labor union at its casino in Connecticut, The New London Day reports.

The contract addresses retroactive and future pay increases for about 1,500 table game dealers at the Foxwoods Resort Casino, the paper reported. A ratification vote is expected this coming weekend.

Local 2121 of the United Auto Workers was the first union to organize at the casino.
