Monday, June 21, 2004

The Democratic Platform Drafting Committee met at the Santa Fe Indian School on Friday to discuss the party's platform.

Tribal leaders told the committee of funding shortfalls under the Bush administration. They called for an increase in money for the Indian Health Service and the Bureau of Indian Affairs.

The Democratic National Convention will be held in Boston from July 26-29.
