USDA denies money in Black farmers' bias suit

A study shows that 90 percent of African-American farmers who sought money through a discrimination lawsuit were denied by the Department of Agriculture.
USDA settled the $3 billion case five years ago with the promise of providing restitution to Black farmers who were the victims of discrimination. But according to the Environmental Working Group, 81,000 out of 94,000 farmers were denied payments.
The lawyers who handled the lawsuit filed another one on behalf of Native American farmers. the case is still in the courts.
