Bill would transfer land to Pechanga Band

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-California) has introduced a bill to transfer 990 acres of federal land to the Pechanga Band of Luiseno Indians.
The land is located next to the reservation and includes a cluster of rocks that looks like a crouching bear. Pechanga Chairman Mark Macarro said the tribe wants to preserve the land and keep it from being developed.
The Bureau of Land Management is holding the land but wants to give it up.
