Yellow Bird: Worst fry bread served during NMAI

"Over the years, my sisters and I have done some strange things with food, most of them by accident. One time, one of my sisters put salt instead of sugar into her piecrust.
Fried bread seems simple, but it can be tricky to get it just right. I have tasted a lot of hard or soggy fried bread. And right up there on the top of the list of poor fried breads was served in Washington, D.C., at the opening of the National Museum of the American Indian. I hope they have improved since I had my serving.
Well, we are heading into the holidays and feasts certainly are a part of them. Although I'm chuckling and snickering at some cooks' mistakes, I'm reminded that the food brings us together - and more important, that no matter how meager or kingly the feast, this is a time to be thankful for all the good things the Creator has provided for us."
