Sag Chip members target anti-Abramoff leaders

Members of the Saginaw Chippewa Tribe of Michigan are filing petitions to recall tribal officials who opposed disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff.

The recall targets Chief Audrey Falcon, Subchief Bernie Sprague, Treasurer Charmaine Benz, Secretary Ruth Moses and Sergeant-at-Arms Brent Jackson. Falcon terminated the tribe's contract with Abramoff and Sprague testified before the Senate Indian Affairs Committee on $14 million the tribe sent to Abramoff.

The recall group has set up a website questioning Falcon and the other officials. The site is critical of Sen. John McCain (R-Arizona) for the Abramoff investigation.
