Turtle Mountain Band starts work on research center

With the help of a nonprofit that has brought homes to Indian Country, the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians began work on research center at the tribe's college.
The tribe is working with Red Feather Development Group to build the Environmental Research Center at Turtle Mountain Community College.
The center is made entirely from sustainable materials.
Red Feather has completed similar projects for housing on the Pine Ridge, Crow, Northern Cheyenne and Hopi reservations.
