Texas court issues arrest warrant for DeLay

A court in Texas issued an arrest warrant for Rep. Tom DeLay (R-Texas), the deposed House majority leader who is charged with violating state election laws.

The warrant is a routine matter, DeLay's attorney said, but he must be photographed and fingerprinted for a mug shot. The court set bail at $10,000.

DeLay is charged with a criminal count of conspiring to violate state election laws by injecting corporate money into state campaigns. He is also charged with money laundering in connection with the scheme.

DeLay denies the charges and has accused the Texas prosecutor of misconduct in the case.
