Friday, October 21, 2005

Rep. Tom DeLay (R-Texas), the deposed House majority leader, turned himself in on a Texas arrest warrant.
DeLay flew to the Houston courtroom on a private jet yesterday morning. He was booked, photographed, fingerprinted and released.
DeLay is charged with money-laundering and conspiracy in connection with corporate funds he allegedly diverted to candidates in Texas. State law prohibits the use of corporate money in elections.
