Crow Tribe won't participate in state bison hunt
Tuesday, November 29, 2005

The Crow Tribe has declined to participate in the state of Montana's bison hunt.

The tribe was allotted two licenses under the program. A total of 16 were set aside for the eight tribes in the state.

Another tribe, the Confederated Salish and Kootenai, will decide whether or not to participate.

The state issued a total of 50 licenses to hunt bison that wander out of Yellowstone National Park.
