Cheyenne-Arapaho election officials charged
Monday, January 16, 2006

All five members of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes' election board have been charged in tribal court of misusing tribal funds.

According to the tribe, the five members padded their expense accounts. They face a March 20 trial in tribal court.

Several of the tribe's officials and former officials have been charged in tribal and federal court. The tribe has been under investigation by the FBI and the National Indian Gaming Commission.
