Saginaw Chippewa Tribe seeks another investigation
Wednesday, June 21, 2006

The Saginaw Chippewa Tribe of Michigan wants the Department of Justice to investigate a former employee who dealt with Jack Abramoff.

Christopher Petras was the tribe's legislative director. He told the Senate Indian Affairs Committee that he found Abramoff after doing an Internet search.

The two often conversed via e-mail after Abramoff was hired. The tribe is concerned that Petras was not "honest and forthright" about his dealings with Abramoff.
