Navajo family to sue city for police shooting

The family of a Navajo man who was fatally shot by a police officer in Farmington, New Mexico, plan to sue the city.

Clint John, 21, was shot four times in a Wal-Mart parking lot. Police were responding to a domestic violence complaint.

The Farmington police department cleared the officer involved but Navajo leaders have questioned the investigation. John's family says its own investigation contradicts the official police report.

The incident heightened racial tensions in Farmington and spurred Navajo leaders to organize a memorial march over the Labor Day weekend.
