Tulalip boys basketball team heads to state finals

The Tulalip Tribes of Washington will be sending its boys basketball team to the state finals for the first time.

The Tulalip Heritage School team had a record season. The boys won 20 games -- 18 of them in a row -- and lost only 3 games.

The team now heads to the Class 1B state tourney. The first round is being played today.

The tribe opened the school in 2000. The entire community supports the team, said coach Leon Enick.
