The FBI says a provisional autopsy shows two brothers from the Red Lake Nation in Minnesota died from accidental drowning.
Tristan White, 4, and Avery Stately, 2, died of "probable fresh-water drowning," according to the Ramsey County medical examiner's office, The Minneapolis Star Tribune reported.
There was no evidence of foul play or "any traumatic injuries" to either boy, the autopsy report said.
White and Stately apparently wandered away from their home on November 22, 2006, and made their way to a nearby lake. Their bodies were found on Sunday, frozen in the water.
