BIA takes comments on Navajo power plant project
Tuesday, May 29, 2007

The Bureau of Indian Affairs is taking comments online about the Navajo Nation's proposed power plant.

The BIA contracted with URS Corporation to host http://www.desertrockenergy.com. The site contains the draft environmental impact statement and a form to submit comments.

The site differs from the http://www.desertrockenergyproject.com. That's the one hosted by the Navajo Nation and Sithe Global, the company behind the $2.5 billion project.

The BIA will be holding public meetings in June.
