Spirit Lake woman named to UND search committee

Cynthia Lindquist Mala, a member of the Spirit Lake Nation, has been named to the University of North Dakota presidential search committee.

Mala, the president of Cankdeska Cikana Community College, will represent the Indian community. She received her undergraduate degree and doctorate at UND.

United Tribes Technical College President David Gipp advocated for tribal representation on the committee. State Board of Higher Education President John Q. Paulsen agreed to add another member.
