Cheyenne-Arapaho official a target of federal probe

Yet another elected official of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma is under federal investigation, The Oklahoman reports.

Roy Dean Bullcoming, a legislator, was convicted in tribal court of theft. Now he's been named in a federal indictment involving his secretary, who has been charged with taking $17,000 in tribal funds.

Tribal legislator Vera Franklin was indicted in March for allegedly using $7,000 in tribal money. Former chairman James Pedro was sentenced to 30 months for embezzling about $200,000. from the tribe. His wife and secretary were also convicted.
