Chippewa Cree firefighters at work in Montana

Firefighters from the Chippewa Cree Tribe of Montana are busy battling a fire that has burned more than 40,000 acres.

Allan Eagleman and his tribal crew have been setting up buffer lines to stop the Meriwether Fire. "When it gets here, it's got nothing to burn," Eagleman told The Helena Independent Record.

Eagleman's been working fires for 38 years. He started when he was 16 years old.
