Native teen's arm broken while in police custody

A 15-year-old boy from the Carry the Kettle First Nation suffered a broken arm while in the custody of Saskatchewan's first Native police force.

Timothy Stevenson was arrested last week but never charged with any crimes. He said he was denied medical care by the File Hills First Nation's police force.

The police force began patrolling several reserves, including Carry the Kettle, in May. Timothy's grandfather, Delmar Runns, said the officers have been harassing Native residents.
