Navajo man charged for double murders on reservation

A New Mexico man was charged with two murders on the Navajo Nation.

Robert Pettigrew Jr., 33, is accused of killing his brother, Randy Pettigrew, and his brother's girlfriend, Alexandria Charles. The incident took place in Hogback on Monday.

Police became aware of the double homicide when Randy Pettigrew's children were found walking along a highway. They said their uncle was beating their father.

Robert Pettigrew faces charges of first-degree murder and tampering with a witness.
