Shoshone-Bannock Tribes to sign gas tax deal

The Shoshone-Bannock Tribes is expected to a gas tax agreement with the state of Idaho, according to KPVI-News.

The deal could come as early as Wednesday. It is said to be similar to one recently negotiated with the Coeur d'Alene Tribe.

That deal requires the tribe to collect a 25-cents-per-gallon tax on gasoline, the same rate as the state's. Revenues can be used for transportation and law enforcement.
