Hoopa Valley Reservation to get wireless Internet

Residents of the Hoopa Valley Reservation in northern California are finally getting high-speed Internet.

The Hoopa Community Association reached a deal to bring wireless service to the reservation. That means people won't have to deal with dial-up modems.

"When it's slow, it's so frustrating," Chairman Lyle Marshall told The Eureka Times-Standard.

Marshall said the high-speed service will enable tribal entrepreneurs, artists and local businesses to market themselves.
