The Oglala Sioux Tribe of South Dakota has dismissed impeachment proceedings against President John Yellow Bird Steele.
Yellow Bird Steele was accused of meeting with an energy company to explore uranium mining on the Pine Ridge Reservation. But apparently it was a just a rumor --Yellow Bird Steele was actually discussing a water study.
The tribal council previously impeached former president Cecilia Fire Thunder, who was the first woman to lead the tribe.
