Protest planned at radio station in Minneapolis

Native American activists and other minority leaders will protest today at the Minneapolis corporate headquarters of radio station KQRS.

The station came under fire in October after the hosts of its popular morning program made insensitive remarks about Native Americans, suicide and poverty. KQRS agreed to apologize, hire Indian interns, invite tribal representatives on the morning show and air public service announcements about suicide.

Clyde Bellecourt of the American Indian Movement said he isn't happy with the outcome. But the radio station says it has fulfilled its end of deal.
