Lac Du Flambeau Band breaks ground on health center
The Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa broke ground on a $5.7 million health center on Thursday.

The 26,000 square-foot facility replaces the aging health center on the tribe's reservation in Wisconsin. "I hope this wellness center and our new clinic can help us have longer and healthier lives," President Victoria Doud said, WJFW reported.

Construction is expected to being in May 2008. The center will open next fall.
