Soboba Band plans hotel next to golf course

The Soboba Band of Luiseño Indians is planning a hotel next to its golf course and will seek to have both properties placed in trust.

The hotel will be located next to the Country Club at Soboba Springs. The tribe bought the course in 2006.

Council member Rose Salgado said the tribe hopes to turn the site into a destination. A new golf course is already under construction.
