Clinton finally declared winner in New Mexico

Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-New York) was declared the winner of the New Mexico Democratic presidential primary, more than a week after the Super Tuesday vote.
Only 1,709 votes separated Clinton and Sen. Barack Obama (D-Illinois). Clinton won with 73,105 votes, or 48.8 percent, compared to Sen. Barack Obama (D-Illinois) with 71,396 votes, or 47.6 percent..
After Alaska, New Mexico has the highest percentage of American Indians and Alaska Natives.
Navajo Nation President Joe Shirley Jr. endorsed Clinton, who won counties with heavy Native populations.
Obama won counties with large urban populations and one county that is home to several Pueblo tribes.
The next major votes take place in Wisconsin next Tuesday and in Ohio and Texas on March 4.
