Saginaw Chippewa Tribe and CMU join for health

The Saginaw Chippewa Tribe and Central Michigan University announced a health partnership on Thursday.

Health profession students at CMU will be able to intern at the tribe's Nimkee Memorial Wellness Center. Speech-language pathology and audiology students can get clinical experience at the center and athletic training and public health education can receive training.

The tribe and CMU will also look at research opportunities. "This will not only further academic knowledge, but will benefit our tribal members and community as well," subchief Lorna Call said [Press Release].
