IHS builds dental clinic on Catawba Reservation

The Indian Health Service is building a dental clinic on the Catawba Reservation in South Carolina.

The clinic will make it easier for members of the Catawba Nation in N to obtain dental services. Right now, they have to go all the way to the Cherokee Reservation in North Carolina -- a three-hour drive -- and even then, their level of care is limited.

Work on the addition to the Catawba Service Unit began in late 2007. The IHS the clinic to be finished in the coming months.
