Crystal Shawanda, an Ojibwe from Canada, is being hailed as a rising star on the country music scene.
Shawanda, who grew up on the Wikwemikong Reserve on Ontario, is currently featured in a County Music Television show called
"Crystal: Living the Dream." Her single "You Can Let Go Now" has charted in Canada and she's starting to make her mark in the U.S.
Her forthcoming album is called "Dawn of a New Day," She's relocated to Nashville and did a photo shoot in Texas last week.
