Former Cheyenne-Arapaho chairman sentenced

Robert Tabor, the former chairman of the
Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma, was sentenced to one year in prison for stealing more than $114,000 from the tribe.
Tabor, 62, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to embezzle. He was ordered to pay $114,376 in restitution to the tribe.
His wife, Colleen, 49, also pleaded to embezzlement, and was sentenced to four years probation and ordered to pay $7,646 in restitution.
Tabor and Colleen are among 10 former tribal members who have been convicted or charged after a federal investigation into the use of tribal funds.
