North Dakota tribe blocks clean energy meeting

Nation of North Dakota blocked tribal members from using a community building for a presentation on renewable energy, Indian Country Today reports.
Kandi Mossett, a tribal member who works with the
Indigenous Environmental Network, planned to talk about solar energy and other types of "clean" energy. But she was forced to move the meeting after the Northern Lights Tribal Community Building was locked up by the tribe.
Mossett organized the meeting to show alternatives to the tribe's proposed oil refinery. The federal government is still reviewing plans for the facility.
